Wednesday Wonder

I’ve seen this before, but I can’t get over it. I was casually browsing this and admiring the visual splendour when I was reintroduced to the Ithaa Underwater Restaurant in the Maldives. Isn’t it lovely?

I think I need a vacation.

After a harried few months of j-school…

I saw this back in October, but it became stuck in my head for ages afterward. I might even go as far to say that it became my theme for the tail end of the year.

… It’s high time I jumped back into the blogosphere. Where or where did the time go? And where do I even begin? In the time since I last posted on here, I have helped establish a magazine, have covered a series of Toronto politics (that being, he-who-must-not-be-named), survived the ice storm of the century, survived the umpteenth snow storm(!!!), and have completed two internships.

It’s been a wild, gigantic learning curve of a ride. In fact, I think I’ve learned more about myself these past few months than I have in quite some time. Those two internships I did (one at a radio station, the other at a magazine establishment) gave me some great experiences in the workplace. Things didn’t always happen the way I expected them to, and through trial and error (and some more error), I eventually figured out the kind of work style I’m more suited for.

Now that I’m finished both placements and the semester, it’s back to the drawing board. Writing is on the agenda these days, so I plan on trying my hand at freelance work, along with some other little personal projects. Oh, and doing updates on this space as well, of course! Stay tuned…

I got too much a kick out of this, so I’m gonna leave this here as well.
